The application to find guides and to have a personal travel itinerary.

The challenge

Through an in-depth study of users, creating personas and journeys, research, prioritizing solution opportunities, I demonstrate the importance of planning for a trip through an application that facilitates and optimizes your time.

The current scenario

More and more people are traveling and enjoying every moment of life. But due to a lack of planning, one can often enjoy a trip much less. Failing to visit sights and places that only local people know.
Through a detailed study, I will show the true importance of planning and enjoying a trip that can save time and money.

The Goal of The Product

According to UX research, we understand that people want to travel with optimized time and expenses, so a tour guide or a fully personalized itinerary is necessary and important.

User Research

Through research with possible users, useful information was found, such as that people between 30 and 40 years old are the ones who travel the most. 70% of people would use the app.
100% of people would pay for personalized itineraries depending on the price.

Quantitative Research

With quantitative research, we can see all the numbers of extreme importance for our app.

More information in the attached survey.

Users Personas

Three types of personas were created to represent the types of users of the product. Both are avid for travel and want to have unique experiences.

User Journey

Using the User Journey tool we can better detail the users’ routines, identify the best opportunities, and how their problems could be solved.

Storytelling

A narrative was created detailing some aspects of the users’ routine through Storytelling.

User 1

Once Upon a time Robson, lawyer, single, who likes to go out and travel with friends.

He once decided to travel and began to search for tourist itineraries in Paris.

So it ended up finding an app that connected tourist guides with users.

Through this application, he found the right person to create his fully personalized script.

And then he traveled with his totally personalized itinerary, visiting totally unusual and misunderstood places on the internet.

User 2

Once Upon a time Richard, airline pilot, single, who likes to optimize his time.

He once decided to travel and began to search for tourist itineraries in Paris.

So it ended up finding an app that connected tourist guides with users.

Through this application, he chose the perfect tour guide for his trip and booked with him.

And then he traveled with a tour guide that was in high demand in the app, he had wonderful experiences with a lot of information.

User 3 — Tourist Guide

Once Upon a time Eddy, waitress, married, who wants to earn extra money.

He once decided earn extra money with an app she discovered.

So it ended up finding an app that connected tourist guides with users. She then downloads the application to expose all of her knowledge to people who want it.

Through this application, she connects with people who want to know unique places in Madrid. Places that only she who was born and raised in Madrid knows.

And then she gets her script proposal, creates a custom script for Robson, and earns her extra money in a few minutes.DCS and How Might We

DCS Matrix

The DCS Matrix - Doubts, Certainties, and Suppositions — is a project development tool that works from some important issues for the development of ideas, products, or services. The matrix is generally used in groups and allows you to find answers about the future of the project, more visually.

How Might We - It allows you to rephrase the difficulties, problems or barriers that you encounter on a topic or opportunity by asking questions in the format “How we could ..?” i.e, “How could we …?” helping to synthesize the challenges that exist on this subject.

EFFORT X IMPACT

With the effort vs impact matrix, we can see what are the priorities that the app should have.

After selecting opportunities and prioritizing them, we concluded that the most efficient way of delivering added value to the user is through a fully intuitive application where the user contacts a partner guide through the app, fills out a form so that then a fully personalized tourist itinerary is created by the partner guide.

Research on Internet

Here is short internet research to understand what the post-pandemic scenario will look like.

Bruce Poon Tip, author of Unlearn: The Year the Earth Stood Still and the founder of travel company G Adventures, says not only will we travel again, we’ll do it better. “I still believe travel can be the biggest distributor of wealth the world has ever seen,” he says. “This pause gives us the gift of time to consider how we can travel more consciously.”

From a renewed commitment to sustainable tourism to creative ways to globetrot from home, here’s how travel authors, bloggers, and podcasters are navigating.

Keep in mind, personalised and attentive service is always important, but it’s even more critical now. The first guests who come back will tell others how amazing their trip was and motivate them to travel as well. So, do your best to generate as much of this positive feedback as possible with excellent service and customised offers.

Wireframe Process

A process to get off the paper and become the reality of the app.

The final app prototype

And after studies and sketches, this is the final prototype of the Peaky Trip app.
